Academics
Early academic planning is critical to ensure the greatest number of pathways to participate in BOSP programs. We encourage you to think critically and holistically about your learning goals, and to examine our program offerings according to those goals.
On our website, you should explore and compare the various features of our programs, including: courses, housing, internship opportunities, language requirements, and available quarters. Even far away from campus, you will be mentored and challenged by some of your favorite Stanford professors. Stanford faculty members are central to the BOSP mission, providing instruction and oversight for all BOSP academic programs.
We strongly suggest that you review the courses offered at each of our programs and speak with your Undergraduate Advising Director and your major advisor (if applicable) to discuss your study away plans in relation to your graduation and major requirements. These early discussions can ensure you have the greatest flexibility at the time of your participation.
We also recommend scheduling an appointment with a BOSP Student Ambassador to learn more about their academic experience (e.g. what courses they took, what they gained, how they adapted to cultural differences regarding classroom management and academic accommodations and more).
