General Description
Argentina is a vast country with a diverse geography and population. It has a rich cultural, scientific, and technological history, with a strong art and humanities scene. Argentina is the only South American country with Nobel Laureates in science, and it also has a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem with multiple unicorns. This Bing Overseas Studies Program will provide students with a unique insight into the technology and culture of one of South America’s strongest countries, which was once an emblem of economic power and is now on its way back into strong sustainable growth.
Locations
We will be visiting the capital of Buenos Aires, which has a distinctly vibrant European feel, before traveling to the Iguazú falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. We will then visit Córdoba, home of many universities and science institutes, before coming back to Buenos Aires.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to experience the culture and natural beauty of Argentina and gain insights into its technology and science ecosystem. Further, they will visit various universities and institutes and meet fellow students from Argentina.
Living and Travel Conditions
We will be staying in hotels throughout the trip and flights will be used to move between the different cities. Private transportation will be used for the smaller distances. There will be some hiking and potentially boat tours involved.
